I recently picked up the HP EliteBook 840 G11, and while it’s been an overall solid experience, I have a few mixed feelings. The build quality is impressive, as you’d expect from HP, and the touchscreen is responsive, which makes navigating Windows 11 a breeze. The 16GB of DDR5 really helps with multitasking; I can have multiple apps open without any noticeable lag. However, I was hoping for better battery life, especially given the high price tag. The Thunderbolt ports are a nice touch for connecting external devices, but I miss having more USB-A ports. On the whole, it’s a capable machine, but just be prepared for a bit of sticker shock. If you’re in the market for a reliable business laptop, this could be a good fit, as long as you temper your expectations.
